Το iPhone 6 και iPhone 6 Plus αποτελούν τις πρώτες φορητές συσκευές της Apple που κάνουν χρήση τουWiFi 802.11ac, το οποίο και υποστηρίζει μεγαλύτερες ταχύτητες μετάδοσης δεδομένων σε σχέση με το 802.11n. Πόσο μεγαλύτερες ταχύτητες;

Το iClarified ανέπτυξε μία custom εφαρμογή με αποκλειστικό σκοπό να δώσει την απάντηση στο παραπάνω ερώτημα:

Both devices were freshly restored to iOS 8.0 and connected to the 2013 Apple AirPort Extreme.

The router was placed 1.5 metres away from the smartphones and each iPhone was connected to the AirPort Extreme using a 5GHz-only network

No other devices were connected to the wireless network at the time of the test and the downloads were performed at separate times.
